Hi, I'm Sven! I currently work as AI Policy Senior Fellow at the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy. Before this, I was at the Global Priorities Institute at Oxford University, enabling, supporting and communicating research on how we can do as much good as possible. Previously, I worked at an NGO aiming to accelerate the transition to a circular economy and as a management consultant.
Before this, I was an academic myself, doing research and teaching in mathematics and computational biology. You can find my (past) academic website here.

When I'm not working, I enjoy singing in choirs and sometimes in musicals and enjoying the outdoors. I love travelling and exploring new places near and far and have visited already more than 50 countries. I also take pictures and you can find some of my travel photos in Instagram. I am also a qualified yoga instructor.
